My time at BAL has been a roller coaster but one of my biggest blessings was the teachers allowing me to follow my dreams.

It is an average school in the Bronx with caring staff. Hopely they have done nothing but improved since 2018.

The staff are the kindest and most genuine people your children and adults can come across. They genuinely care about the students and their futures outside of the South Bronx. The staff make sure the students know they aren't alone in their approaching adulthood— but at the same time give them the freedom to decide if they want the help. Overall very warm, welcoming, and understanding staff.

The principal is a media hound who at once uses students of colors as pawns while failing to address his own internalized white supremacy and racism towards his staff of color.

This is a great school with a caring staff and a supportive group of educators. The work in the classroom is challenging and engaging. The after school and extra-curricular is top-notch. I have stopped by the school and can just ask questions and people are ready and willing to meet with me.

This school is awesome. I myself, am in my Junior year and I've had so many life-long experiences with Enrichment opportunities and very knowledgeable teachers. It's a fair work-space and everyone wants the kids to succeed. The teachers care about the kids even with personal issues. Your child would...
