GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been a student at TYWLS Bronx for 7 years. As a senior, I appreciate the support I've received when applying to colleges because it's a small school compared to others. I have learned a great amount from the teachers that taught me. Some things I would like to see in the future are more AP courses, more support and privileges for seniors, and a continuation of a developing respectful community.

I've been there since the 6th grade and it hasn't been a bad experience there is things I would change like privileges seniors should have the way we get treated. Also the academic grading system puts alot of pressure on us.Overall it's a safe and good school where we are cared about a lot and a community where we are able to stick together

Overall, the school has a great education system. The community is where I felt I belonged and became part of something bigger than myself.
