Being in Benjamin Banneker since freshman year, there has been a lot of ups and downs in my experience. The teachers are nice but the workload can be a lot for some people.

I wouldn't recommend this school. Me personally, teachers only update grades until the end of every marking period, so you wouldn't know your exact grade until it's WAY too late, suspensions are handed out for petty little reasons, such as skipping a class, etc.

Benjamin Banneker is a very welcoming community. The faculty members all try their best to connect with all students on a deeper level than just teacher and student. They also try their best to make learning easier and smoother for the students.

This school has a horrible support system. Students often do whatever they want in this school and the staff's only answer is to kick students out instead of talking to them and working with them. Parent do not send your child to Benjamin Banneker academy in brookly ny ,this is the worst high school in Brooklyn and the principal is never around to greet parent that come to school every day and office staff is clue less and they do not have the latest idea on what is going on.
