The Berkeley Carroll School is a private school in Brooklyn, NY. One of the oldest college prep schools in New York City, the first informal classes were held in 1883. I've overall had a good time at Berkeley Carroll. While I'd love some more varied classes in the younger years, I think there's a good variety of both STEM and Humanities courses.

A terribly snobby school--from the students to the teachers. Kindness is not encouraged or practiced. You'll find all the same types here: very wealthy without a sense of their privilege or what it is like to be an outsider. And it starts with the parents and a gross sense of entitlement that is passed down.

I have really enjoyed my experiences at Berkeley Carroll. I have been there since kindergarten and each year has been a new and exciting experience. I have been a member of the varsity baseball team since my 8th grade year and I have been involved in numerous other school clubs and initiatives. They have been striving to create a safe and diverse community since I've been there and they have followed through on each promise to improve the quality of the school.
