The teacher's passion towards helping the students and their passion towards the subject they are teaching is very obvious. The food, on the other hand, is very lacking in terms of its diversity. The food is the typical meal with worse food than even in a middle school.

I wish we had our own building. Even though we're a specialized high school, all of our funding goes to the highly rigorous IB program. So I wish we had our own building to occupy the growing student community.

If you don't like writing essays, thinking that pushes you to think outside of the norm, or rigorous academics this school is not for you. Otherwise, Brooklyn Latin is amazing: its staff is super welcoming, and the tight knit community gives you a feel good feeling that guarantees tears when graduation day comes.

What this school lacks in quality facilities, it more than makes up for in the quality of its education. I have been continuously impressed at the level of rigor of the academics, the dedication the faculty have to the students, and the diversity and social-emotional well-being of the student body....

This school takes children and baselessly put them into special education, that's how it gets its high ratings.

Too much homework. Too much stress from public speaking. Curriculum is boring. This school is way underfunded and doesn’t really feel like a community. Uniform sucks. So many better options than this. You have a higher chance of getting into a good college if you get good grades at an average school...
