Located just off Ocean Parkway is Ditmas Junior High School, or I.S. 062 Ditmas, one of two zoned middle schools in Kensington. With over 1100 students, Ditmas Junior High School is known for its diversity and inclusivity. The school also prides itself on academic achievement. At Ditmas Junior High School, students have various opportunities to continually expand on past education. One of the school’s best-known programs is its Software Engineering Pilot, where students learn about and engage with the newest innovative technologies. The 8th grade ELA teacher keeps saying the r slur even when it wasn’t mentioned in the textbooks, this sets a bad example for the students encouraging them to say more slurs and be the opposite of well behaved.

Great school. Still growing and improving as a neighborhood school. Experienced teachers and no excuses. Making strides in safety using phone pouches. Great arts, social emotional learning and academics. Something for everyone.

The staff members are rude and the teachers & staff are verbally abusive towards children. The dean acknowledges bullying but does not resolve the problems, the security guards do not provide safety to your children.
