GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school was great culture and academic wise but the unusual circumstances such as a gun threat and shooting right in front of the school had left fear in the school community

They are doing their best with what they have. Their location is an issue a big one,it's in a bad place. They fail to find a good teacher and staff to work at the school. They are more preoccupied for seniors than other grades. Many freshmen need a guide throughout high school and I see they are not receiving it. As an out of country student they held me back on some classes because in my country we don't have a specific grade for Math classes and science we learn it all at the same time. They gave me classes that I passed and did in my country just because her boss forget to re-do my schedule. That's what my advisor told me. She said with such ease I was flabbergasted. It is until my junior year that they employed people who really care about us. They opened many new opportunities for us. They opened the school early because of last year's overall result but this year is no better. Many freshmen have to go to summer school. It's not totally their fault but also the students's and parents's

Williamburg Charter School is a excellent public school. Both my children attended. Both of my children were accepted to great colleges.
