GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This school is very lively and full of pride. Edmonson County High wants the best for every last one of its students and wants them to go into the real world prepared for anything. This school is very appreciative of its students opinions. The counselors are especially very helpful. Out of any school I have ever been to, this schools is among the best.

Edmonson County High School proved a decent experience for me. The best experience I've had is with the teachers. They provided good experiences through high school and were good mentors. They became people I depend on and respect greatly. The things that need improvement are mainly academics. It would be good to get more help with college prep. Preparing for the ACT and helping students get more help with getting money for college.

This rating is so sad for me to see. I graduated there 55 years ago when the poverty level was more like 85-90 percent, I didnt even have water in our house, YET, I graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati BECAUSE of the great teachers I had and the discipline we had in the 60s. Its sad to see...
