Walking distance from the Main Street Promenade in the Verrado community, Verrado Middle School teaches more than 500 students in sixth through eighth grade. At the school, the faculty believe in building a strong school community to help every student feel supported so they can do their best every day. In addition to gifted and honors programs, the school also offers special education services to help each child make the most of their learning experience. When it comes to the core curriculum, teachers follow i-Ready Classroom Mathematics, StudySync and a Reading Apprenticeship program that helps students develop the social and cognitive skills necessary to discuss their material in an open forum. Outside the classroom, aspiring Verrado Mustangs can also pursue athletic interests in soccer and volleyball every autumn, basketball and cheer every winter or baseball, softball and track every spring. Any time of year, students can enjoy fun school-sponsored events, from fundraisers to holiday performances, to find an opportunity to shine.

My sister went here for the beginning of 7th grade. She was relentlessly bullied until she was forced to drop out and do online until sophomore year due to trauma about school.
