The administration was the only thing about the school that was truly disorganized. The teachers there generally made an effort to see all the kids was happy, healthy, and safe. B-UHS is located in a rural community; therefore, I think its push for technical school has been higher than college for many years. However, my last year there they were doing a significantly better job at preparing students for college.

I had many teachers that I felt cared about me and wanted to help me succeed, and I enjoyed the classes I was able to take. I wished the majority of the other students in my class cared more about their education, and that our district could have more funding. But overall, even though I didn't get to have many opportunities and went to a poorer school, I feel that I got a decent education that will help me later in life.

Buckhannon Upshur High School is a school for future learners. Sometimes it gets messy but this school always knows how to bounce back. The teachers will be your best friends and help you become who you want to be. The only thing I would change is a better understanding on the way things are taught just so more people can understand what's going on.

My daughter started school there this year. The facilities, staff and administration is all working together to create and environment that is safe, student centered and academically focused.

I really love all of the extracurricular activities at school. Like I am in the FEA (future educators of America) and we just finished teachering students at the local middle school. We have been doing that for the past few days. Also I have a friend in the Fred W Eberle Technical Center nearby stud...

My school is fine. In the other reviews people said stuff about fighting and a tardy policy. Both of those are not true anymore. There still are fights but a 'fight' lasts like 10 seconds before broken up. There is not a ton of fights and usually they are about couples and their relationships and ot...

My school is great for every thing except for preparing for the future. Also since at least half of the students here qualify for free/ reduced lunchs I don't think some people can afford to take tests like the ACT or SAT there used to be GEARUP that payed for some students first time taking the the...
