A lot of the students didn't want to b at the school and wouldn't participate in schoolwork which made for a difficult learning atmosphere.

The new building is very nice, quality new equipment for everything. The teachers are fairly nice and are willing to work with students through academics. Student life is abundant with afterschool clubs and sports. Events at the school could be planed more as most just feel rushed. Music department is amazing, wonderful vibrant music is always played.

There are a lot of support systems at Highline High School. We have our school counselors , Student outreach counselors, and we have many clubs (Black student union, Asian Student union, Latinx Club, Pacific Islander club) and many more. We have lots of support for students who are LGBTQIA+. We also have a number of classes for english learners students. Overall, our community is great.

If you look at the reviews here, you can see why this district has no chance of turning around under its current leadership. One student review says that the teachers don’t teach the students who want to learn because they’re handling the behavior issues. Other reviews from parents and students say...

This school is a joke. They graduate students who are illiterate. They enforce no rules. Teachers have given up, and just accept terrible behavior. 170 teachers out of 500 are leaving the district this year, 30 from this school alone. Your child has no chance of a decent education here. If you are a...

I'm a student that currently attends HHS and from my experience I absolutely hate it. The teachers lack common sense and mainly focus on students that disrupt the class rather than the ones that ACTUALLY want to learn, let's not forget to mention how they lack explaining lectures and provide little...
