GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Depending on the classes you take, Lewis Mills can be an accommodating and academically stimulating high school. However, the school seems to be careless with its students sometimes and forgets to consider their needs. I have had great teachers and terrible teachers, you have to get lucky. Their science and history departments are the strongest.

A stepping-stone school at best.High-quality teachers don’t stay because there’s no effort to retain them—low pay and lack of administrative support push them toward better opportunities elsewhere. Many who remain seem resistant to growth or improvement.HR is disorganized, frequently citing "no poli...

I wanted to share my experience with you about this amazing high school. Everything was great, but I have to say, the special education was problematic with one of my kids it could use some improvement. It would be better for kids in special education to consider other schools that provide more oppo...

Let's just say I would avoid putting my child in this school district at all cost. Not very inclusive environment all around. Came across many graduates that share this view. Disappointed with teachers (not all) and especially administration.

Overall this school district is decent, but there are some growing concerns with the special education department. The special education department could use some improvement. I wouldn't advise anyone who deals with special education regularly from grades K–12 to attend this district.
