My experience has been pretty alright. I started there my jr year after having done online school for two years which was awful. I have gotten the real high school experience and honestly don't regret anything. My grades are exponentially better than online school and it's overall a pretty ok school.

Most of the teachers are very nice. School is heavily under funded. They like to make stupid new rules that everyone ends up not following anyway.

Burns High school was kind enough to help me finish my academics early so I could go and become a full time athlete before I started college the following year. I think the teachers however, could be more aware of students situations and be more willing to assist those students when possible. Overall, Burns High School was a place to make friends and get a high school education and it did exactly that for me.

The students here show no respect what so ever, to teachers and peers. We have very little funding for sports, and clubs. College classes rarely count for double credit anymore. The administration does a poor job and dealing with students.

It is small and old we have 5 classes a day and only 4 days a week. And not a lot of real teachers sure the have been to school but the really don't give a shot about the students future.

I AM CONCERNED AS TO THE INFORMATION SHARED ON THIS PAGE IS BEING SHARED WITH THE SCHOOL BOARD. I RETIRED AS PRINCIPAL OF BHS SEVERAL YEARS AGO, WE HAD A STRONG WELL TRAINED STAFF AS WELL AS A GREAT SELECTION OF CLASSES. MANY TIMES WHEN A DISTRICT HIRES A CLASSROOM TEACHER AS ITS ADMINISTRATOR THING...
