It's a great close-knit school. I grew up here and I love it. Everyone is like family and many people wouldn't like it due to this fact. However, everyone makes newcomers feel right at home. The academics are on the lower ended side for the state of Texas, but they are the best in the region. We have a variety of different sports and a great ability for students to play multiple sports with a flexible schedule. For these reasons, I believe Burton High School is an amazing school.

Being a small school, BHS did not have a large variety of clubs, organizations, and extra curricular activities. Although, we did have great sports and pretty great coaches.

Though BHS was small, it was filled with big hearted people. BHS definitely felt like a community and a family. There is something so special about a small school in a tight knit community and BHS was definitely special.

This is an amazing small school. No we don't offer the programs that huge schools do but we have a small private school atsmophere with amazing caring teachers. I have accomplished children who graduated from Burton and they manage in college just fine. Deans list fine!
