GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I feel like I didn't have much guidance but enjoyed my time with the teachers and students. I spent many years on the wrestling team and gained many life skills through the coaches.

I would say that the best part of going to this school is that it is the music programs and arts. Being enrolled into orchestra and chorus at a the school I have a family and on top of that those programs are rising in ranks. Some of the worst parts about the school are the amount of fights and drug related incidents in the school. The bathrooms in the school are on top of everything else disgusting which is typically due to the drug usage in them. Which is why I would like to change them, my school just did a major remodel/upgrade in size of the school but the bathrooms are still untouched.

My experience at Butler SHS was amazing from 10th grade to 11th grade. everything was going great, the system was going smoothly. Then my 12th grade year they decided to bring up 9th graders and I will just say it was a good and bad idea. only reason why I say that is because it was the only option that they had. The 9th graders were not ready to come up which is fine we all have to grow up at some point. it wasn't their fault, it was to population in the school. their's a big group of people in a small space and its making a lot of people frustrated which lead to a lot of school fights, threats, and drug usage. Yes the school is trying to fix this problem by adding onto the school and changing the bell schedule so there's not a lot of people around at once. But over all Butler is a good school to go to. Yes Butler SHS is going to have ups and downs, but every school has them.
