GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The Senior High School is a small building but full of amazing experiences. The clubs are a blast and if you take the time to participate in school activities, there is nothing that could be bad. I would like to see kinder teachers, but most are always willing to help if you just ask.

There are athletics, but of the very basic kind such as track, cross country, basketball, soccer, volleyball, football, and cheer-leading. These are available to everyone as it is a small school so there is a no-cut policy, so if you show up to practice you're going to be put on a team, which is pretty frustrating. Some other activities or clubs are National Honor Society, Match-wits, Sea-perch, FBLA, and Drama. These clubs vary on if you can just sign up for them or if you need to be invited and selected to join them.

Former student here. I did not realize how bad the school was until I went to college and talked to other people about their high school experiences and comparing the two, Ellicott was pretty terrible. There was little preparation for college or real life. There are some good teachers there that car...
