Buckingham Browne and Nichols School is a private, coeducational day school in Cambridge that serves students in prekindergarten through 12th grade. The school curriculum is considered challenging and innovative with a complimentary focus in the arts, athletics and community service. In 1974, the prestigious Buckingham School and the acclaimed Browne and Nichols School merged to form what is now Buckingham Browne and Nichols, which is considered one of the top private schools in the United States.
The entire school occupies three distinct campuses—the Lower School is located on Buckingham Street, the Middle School is a quarter of a mile away on Sparks Street and the Upper School’s impressive campus is just off Gerrys Landing Road near the Charles River. Current enrollment is just over a thousand students, and the school’s amenities include well-groomed athletic fields, four libraries, a skating rink and a state-of-the-art athletic center at the Upper School. The application process is rigorous and competitive, and tuition is considerable. Financial aid is available and utilized by about 20% of the student body.

It was a good school academic wise. The sports in the school are not good and there is not many sports that preform well. The academics are great but the administrators do not make great decisions.

I am currently a student at Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols school and it has been one of the best experiences so far. The people are encouraging and the academics are rigorous and highly beneficial. This is one of the best schools I have ever heard of and would not prefer anything else.
