Saint Peter School is a Catholic school at 96 Concord Avenue in West Cambridge. With an enrollment of roughly 200 students in prekindergarten through eighth grade, the campus is small, but the Saint Peter community is expansive and inclusive.
Founded in 1901 by the Sisters of Notre Dame, known for their service in education, this well-regarded and generations-old school has played an important role in the local Cambridge community. Parent volunteers are connected through the school’s vibrant and robust Parent Association, which holds fundraising initiatives and works together with the school staff on community outreach and school spirit events, including the annual Gala, golf outings and a schoolwide Christmas event. A daily after-school program also equips students with snacks, games, clubs and special enrichment programs.
The Saint Peter School's commitment to academic excellence and student involvement has cemented the school as a bastion of early education in Cambridge for the past 100-plus years. Graduates of Saint Peter have historically gone on to attend some of the top high schools in the Boston area, including the Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, Belmont Hill School, Boston College High School, the nearby Buckingham Browne and Nichols School and the Commonwealth School in Boston.

We love St. Peter School and our son has been here since 2nd grade. Now in 7th grade, our son has a great group of kids in his class, kind and supportive of each other. His teachers are attentive and keep an organized approach to learning.

This school has gone down hill with the administration. It’s an absolute mess. Don’t be fooled because it is in Cambridge that it must be good. It’s not!
