I would like for the teachers to be more involved with their students and offer more one-on-one instruction.

The teachers and students are nice and all, but it would be nice if the "underdogs" in each grade would be noticed more by teachers. Whether they mean to or not there are many teachers who would rather talk to the more popular kids than the others.

Being that I've lived in the Camp Hill School District for the entirety of my education, I don't have anything to compare my experience in this school to. With a graduating class of less than 90 students, I can name everyone in my grade. I believe that school is better this way, as I get the opportunity to get to know a bit about all my classmates. Our teachers always strive to push us, but not everything is just memorizing the necessary facts. It is not uncommon for a Camp Hill student to be found with a four to six page assignment for their senior english class. Academics isn't the only thing that thrives at Camp Hill, as our sports programs boast many titles. My soccer team has dominated our division with three consecutive district championship victories and back to back state championship wins. Along with these wins, we've captured the sportsmanship award for our district, because without a humble attitude, the discipline to win is not there.

The community as a whole is de...

This is an excellent district that emphasizes tolerance, understanding, and compassion. It is sad that some see this as indoctrination. The quality of the faculty and the student:teacher ratio would be a private academy if this school were in a top 20 metro area. The difference is that this one is s...

In terms of education, Camp Hill is top-notch. As for diversity, racial/socioeconomic sensitivity, they are terrible. Students from this district come from affluent households and it shows. They are also mostly white. The parents can be stifling, uptight, and cliquey. Basically, if you’re a transpla...
