The school is old and crowded and falling apart in places, but I think that's part of its charm in a way--occasional gas leaks and faulty fire alarms included. Most of my teacher interactions have been good. I have a couple I hold grudges against, but then there's those who are my favorite teachers in the world.

Overall the school is just kind of what you would expect with a middle-class school. However, though some of the administration has been helpful, my guidance counselor has been specifically unhelpful throughout the majority of my four years. Other than that, most of the teachers have been kind and energetic and helpful even when I struggled in classes. I have never failed a class, though I have come close.

One of the best school districts! Better than East Cobb schools. Great taxes in the county less than 1%. Great value for where we live.

My children really like/liked cherokee high school. It’s the teachers there that make the difference. It’s diverse and more like the real world. It is next to a water treatment plant so it can get smelly there. To address the overcrowding they expanded the high school into an elementary building tha...
