GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Carlisle school district has allowed me to thrive as a student and as a person in general. The only thing to at I would change, is they need to focus on getting students ready for college and providing resources and training on applying for scholarships.

The teachers hired are lacking common knowledge and are unable to teach students. It is not a school where there are amazing spirit and involvement. There have been many study days and nights where I had to teach myself for hours because I did not know what I was doing. The school does not offer any classes other than the basic required ones and the rest are online. I am so glad I have pushed through with a 4.0 while teaching myself and cannot wait for the next chapter of my life.

The only good thing about Carlisle is the sports, and the support for the athletes. I honestly did not enjoy my time at Carlisle. The academics were not challenging. The teachers were incompetent. Some students taught their classmates better than their teachers did. Students have 0 freedom. There is nothing to enjoy about Carlisle High School.

The academics are not the best, but there are a lot of really smart kids. The teachers just read out of textbooks and they don...

It seems that here the sports take over the learning environment. Most of the teachers give up because of this and just give students class work that they turn in with minimum to no teaching involved. Class discussions are extremely rare.
