Woodbrook Elementary School is dedicated to creating a school family. Starting with morning classroom family circle time, students spend the day learning and growing as Woodbrook Lions with the help of top-rated teachers. While Woodbrook is part of the large Carmel Clay School District, schoolwide initiatives, student clubs and a commitment to social-emotional needs helps make the school stand out. Students from kindergarten through fifth grade enjoy excellent academic instruction and a full list of special area classes. Clubs, such as math bowl, girls on the run and student council, promote extracurricular interests and build critical skills. Ever since the state of Indiana began its Four Star School Award program, Woodbrook Elementary has been named in recognition of its academic excellence. Student academic achievement is comparable to other Carmel Clay School District locations and is highly rated in the state. Teachers at Woodbrook are supported by a strong parent-teacher organization. Friends of the Lions routinely put on events and fundraise to cover field trip costs and other enrichment activities. Community members are encouraged to volunteer and donate to support this thriving institution in the Woodland Springs neighborhood of Carmel, Indiana.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Amazing, caring teachers! Calm respective atmosphere. Principal and assistant principal are engaged. The specials teachers are phenomenal with an amazing, kind husband/wife team heading up STEM and media. There is an amazing PTO presence as well.

Our experiences have been very positive and the education is excellent, overall which is different from our experience in Seattle...
