My daughter went through the Carteret school system, she graduated, however the stories she had mentioned to us about the teachers not being leaders, lack of homework, and just winging it, kids misbehaving in class, shows that there is a lot of work to be done in the Carteret school system. Teachers and principal are great. Teachers encouraged student to read and write summary. Spell bee is required. Overall school is good. My kids love going to school daily.

My kids are in 4th grade. I find the school is not academically challenging enough. No holiday homework is given. Regular homework can be finished in less than 1/2 hour. Only 1 project per year was given. No gifted and talented program option. No spelling accountability or emphasis on it shown. New...

I have twins boys who completed their pre-k just now. They are in separate classes where all the 4 teachers are excellent.i see a lot of difference in my kids after their pre-k.
