Wake STEM Early College High School is a great opportunity to start preparing for college. You learn to do public speaking, making connections with teachers and having so much access to resources/help. If you are struggling, there will always be support through Wake STEM, for both high school and college classes. This school isn't for everyone, you have to work hard but at least you're not in in alone. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to go to Wake STEM.

The school does a good job at preparation for college as it is an early college and we take classes at NCSU. There is a lot of emphasis on getting help if you need and the teachers are very supportive. Some teachers, however, have fallen short and made it harder to learn the material.

A lot of the students are rich kids and because of the small school they become entitled and don't mature. In addition, a lot of the teachers aren't good at teaching and administration isn't very kind. Mr. Price is great though.

I have had an amazing experience as a student at this school. This has made me not only ready for college but also the professional world. Throughout my four years here I was able to grow and learn through the help of the incredible students and staff. I can't wait to see what Wake STEM becomes.

Not for students who need extra support. Good for mature, independent students

It was meant to be for those families whose parents had never achieved a college education. Instead, it turned out to be an elite school where you are never given the opportunity to take average classes (for instance, the only seated US History class is AP - not advanced or regular). If you need mor...
