GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Throughout my high school career, I have always relied on my school system and the faculty to help get me prepared for college. The school has more than succeeded in that department. The teachers are caring and then Administrators are very helpful in unseeing way. The worst part about my high school career was sometimes the lack of socialism.

Overall, I like the school a lot; the teachers develop relationships with students and help us students advance our learning. I would definitely like to see more teachers at the school. So, instead of having teachers triple or quadruple up on classes the would have more time to focus on the students that need help.

Caston Junior/Senior High School is a great school. Since it is a very small school, I have many opportunities to be in many different activities. I can be in most of my classes with my close friends and even if they are not in one of my classes, I am still in a class with someone I know and get along with. The math department is very good. One of the math teaches has a 'flipped classroom,' so I am able to work ahead.

I would rate it a 0/5 if I could, that’s how bad it is

I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else! Caston is a wonderful school in a small setting.

Not a very good school. My son went there for a while. He has dislexia and has trouble reading. This school did nothing to help with this problem. We moved to another school district and he is doing much better and has improved his reading skills vastly.
