Brookland-Cayce High School is a school deeply rooted in this town's history. It has been around for almost 100 years. This school holds a deep sense of pride in the lives of those in the community. You'll never see crowds so excited for football or baseball games. Aluni come back years later just to cheer us on. I love the sense of unity I feel within my school and community. What I don't love, however, are the facilities in my school. Bathroom doors without locks, dirty floors, rooms in desperate need of a coat of paint. For a school so supported, it baffles me how much work needs to be done. I also dislike how much students are expected to provide for themselves. Up until this school year, lunch wasn't free for all students. Every student is expected to pay for tickets to sporting events, which severely impacts student involvement at events. My school is home to many impoverish students, and I believe more could be done to accommodate their needs.

As a former student, I highly encourage parents to take your child somewhere else. Teachers have a "don't care" attitude and the few teachers that were good have left this school. This school has failed me in all levels. It has not prepared me for real life and my fiance was looked down on in colleg...

I have found the school to be a wonderful high school for the area- teachers are engaging, the students are interested in what they are studying, and are able to carry on well thought-out discussions about the m...
