The school focuses on passing students from year to year until graduation rather than preparing them properly. While this is not a issue for the most part, many students who are not prepared enough are left to their own devices. A big issue is also their lack of help for Spanish speaking students and the teachers who teach them. Often the teachers are given no training to try and help the students, leaving both the teacher and students in a difficult situation.

Brookland-Cayce high school is a wonderful experience for me. This school has supportive staff and counseling and is mostly clean. Most teachers here also care a lot about your education. But there are some things that can be improved, for example, more clubs that people can join. Also there might be a fight or two or distrust between students and staff. But Overall, it's a good school, a great experience and a great place to learn.

It's not a bad school and overall have a decent amount to offer. They have a new gym but aside from that the conditions of the school is mid-tier. The curriculum offered covers pretty much everything needed to graduate and be prepared for college.

As a former student, I highly encourage parents to take your child somewhere else. Teachers have a "don't care" attitude and the few teachers that were good have left this school. This school has failed me in all levels. It has not prepared me for real life and my fiance was looked down on in colleg...

BC is a wonderful school located a couple blocks over the bridge from downtown Columbia. I have found the school to be a wonderful high school for the area- teachers are engaging, the students are interested in what they are studying, and are able to carry on well thought-out discussions about the m...
