The Cedar Springs Public School District is dedicated to fostering purpose, potential and pride. After attending Red Hawk Intermediate in sixth grade, students are welcomed to Cedar Springs Middle School for seventh and eighth grade education. The class sizes and student population are comparable with other public middle schools in Kent County, and the highly rated teachers are dedicated to promoting academic excellence and positive relationships.
The robust middle school curriculum focuses on literacy, science, math and social studies. Students can also take encore classes, including art, band, choir, gym and success strategies. Cedar Springs Middle School partners with Arbor Circle, Cherry Health Center and the Kent School Services Network for mental and medical wellness support.
Enrichment activities and student clubs prepare students for future careers. At Cedar Springs Middle, a vibrant student leadership council discusses recommendations to encourage democratic leadership. Athletic opportunities, from cross-country to football, promote leadership, teamwork and discipline.

Cedar springs middle school. My son went from a special ed. classroom at a different school district to being on the honor roll with an aide. I am hoping that the high school experience is just a great this fall.
