The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I liked Centralia very much; however, the classes were not really hard enough, the teachers were very nice and very helpful, just the overall material was not really hard enough for my liking. The school is very heavy on sport excellence and not so much on academic success, the administration is kinda rocky, but still a good school overall.

Centralia High School is overall a good school. The school spirit and energy from everyone in this town is amazing. We have many opportunities at Centralia High School, from sports, to clubs, to classes. We offer many dual credit classes, helping to get us ready for colleges, AP classes to challenge advanced students, and many electives to cater to any career or trade one might want to pursue.

Centralia High School is a pretty good school to go to. The teachers are very nice and accepting and there is a variety of students and classes. The only problem is that the administration is not always on the same page.

My son has had challenging classes all of his years at CHS. Those classes are taught by highly-qualified teachers that actually care about his future. The technology available at the high school is top-notch, preparing my son for life after high school.
