GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been at centreville since i was in the 1st grade and i never really liked it. The past Three years at centreville have felt like hell for a multitude of reasons. One of The best part of centreville is the teachers who have been there forever and genuinely care about individual students. One of the worst parts of centreville is the students who are obnoxious, and the teachers who don't care, don't teach, move on when the smartest student gets it, and are all around mean.

I had a mixed experience with Centreville. I love the inclusivity of the school and how we were all a big family that only came together for sports, but that's about it. The teachers cared more about the students passing the class than actually making sure the students understood the material, little to no diversity, very few clubs, music and arts programs were shunned because sports is "where it's at", and the administration is not very helpful.

It’s an okay school. A lot needs to be changed. If you are a good pick up learner you will be able to learn but if you learn a different way and need time I wish you luck because half my class has cheated all through high school just to make it to graduation.

Some teachers are mean to the bone. History teacher Jacquelyn Golodlinski grades some students very unfairly to ensure that they fail the class if she does not want them to be in her class next year.

As a former student of Centreville High School, if your student is not an athlete, they will not get the attention they need to succeed. If a student is struggling in classes, they will be encouraged to try the alternative program, where they will essentially be swept under the rug. If they're in th...
