With Cerritos High School, the best parts have been the learning environment. It's clear that teachers here love their job. Mr. Sohn for example makes funny acronyms that help us remember tricky AP Bio concepts. His willingness to provide mentorship also helped me to learn when I needed help.

Cerritos High School overall is a decent school. The teachers are good, the SIA's help keep the campus safe, and we an overall diverse student body. However, one thing that needs to change is the food at the cafeteria.

I have to teach myself most of the time, math program is nigh incomprehensible. Students have given up completely on grades and from what I have seen, more than half have turned to drug use to cope or for recreation. Administration is slow to respond to infrastructure and common quality of life issu...

I have no idea how this place has a reputation of a “good school.” Everything about this place is messed up and no one cares to fix it. Most classes are spent either self-taught or the teacher is cursing the students out for not understanding. I basically have to look up whatever unit we’re on becau...

Horrible disappointment. I'm an educator and almost immediately knew we were going to have problems. The attitude at CHS is pretty black and white: Teachers teach and the onus of learning is on the kids and their households. They also teach to a very specific population of their classes so if you do...

Teachers especially math teachers are not motivating. Many students in this school are super stressed and lost their grades when they come to 10th grade or 11th grade because Math teachers are not motivating enough. If your kids are super excited to go to school in elementary and middle schools, for...
