Many parents in Steele Creek look toward Winget Park Elementary to give their children quality education. WPE caters to grades pre-K through fifth and currently has a population of 634 students. With the school being next to Winget Park, the students can access its playground, trails, and large open green areas. For students who love books, they can take part in summer readings. Fourth- and fifth-grade athletes can choose to play soccer, football, or baseball at WPE. All grades can be a part of the Smart-Fit After School Center, where they can take a weekly class that’s included within their tuition. For students who are passionate about valuing the integrity of Earth, they can participate in WPE's TreeDay Event. Once a year, volunteers plant 250 trees around the school's campus. Winget Park Elementary also hosts an annual blood drive, a Fall Festival Celebration, and an Olympic Relief program. Every student attending WPE has access to a varied recreation site with a playground, ball fields and a gymnasium.
