Chatham Hall has been a home away from home for my daughters. It is a special place supported my girls as they developed a sense of agency and voice. I am grateful that they had the opportunity to grow into their authentic selves at Chatham Hall.

I graduated back in 2008 and transitioned easily to an academically competitive college and later became a physician. The teachers at CH were of great quality and I reflect positively on those days of high school. I didn't feel that the rural setting or religious affiliation detracted from my experience. I enjoyed horseback riding recreationally (I didn't show) throughout the years and appreciated that sports were scheduled into our days. I have very fond memories for my advisor who became a trusted confidant for many years following graduation.

I wasn't very happy in the years I was at Chatham. I didn't have much in common with the other girls and was very lonely and missed my family. Despite this I don't regret that I went to Chatham.The school stood me in good stance for two important reasons. The religious emphasis was phenomenal, and I learned how to survive on my own apart from my immediate family. The academics also stood me in good stance. The school prepared me for life.

There were ups and downs, as there would be with any school but ultimately I am amazed to see the young woman my daughter has become. She knows her voice, her passions, and her path forward in life. She has a strong commitment to her advanced education and knows how to get to where she wants to go....

Chatham Hall is a wonderful school and, more importantly, a wonderful community! It is academically rigorous without creating divisive competition between students.
