I have had some bad experiences at tyner, but I have also had good ones as well. All of my teachers at tyner were average in my opinion, but tyner's college readiness is very poor. The administration is average as well. Tyner also has a lot of resources.

I would change the work ethic of many of the students and would like to see college readiness to be pushed more than it is now. A lot of our students are not prepared the way they should be for college and life in general. I would also love to see students minds and creativity be challenged a lot more than it is now.

Teacher, principals, guidance counselors, parent coordinators have always been supportive to me and my child. They treat me like one of the staff and are very diligent to the needs of these kids.

So far so good! There has been great support for my child and I do see a community of black white, and brown children being supported by the faculty and staff.

As a 2010 graduate of Tyner Academy, I must say that this school has brought me a long way. Teachers mainly in the English Department and Science Department really bent over backgrounds to help me through academics especially for the Senior Project. Tyner Academy's curriculum is what I really liked...
