The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The only thing that's great about this school is the fact that everyone gets a MacBook Air. Other than that, you can't expect a quality education from this place. They actually let unqualified sports coaches teach core subjects like math and history. This not only hurts grades, but ACT scores as well. I had an assistant basketball coach "teach" me Algebra 1 & 2. My math ACT score is extremely low because of this. If you truly believe your child will be the next Albert Einstein or Marie Curie, don't send them here.

My overall experience at Cross County High school was more then what I would expect out of a high school. The staff at Cross County felt like family, they truly cared about each student. I felt like I had people there that loved me, and cared if I succeeded. It made my High School experience tolerable. The only thing that could improve would be how they could distribute the extra funds to the sports. I think that there could be a more fair way, where we can compromise to a point where everyone is satisfied.

At Cross County High School I would like to see the teachers change, some teachers are great. Then there are teachers who only get onto kids who don't play sports, anyone boy that plays football doesn't get in trouble as much as the normal student.
