I am a transfer student at Cheshire Academy. As soon as I walked into the school I was welcomed and faced with a lot of opportunities. Just being at this school has expanded my knowledge on different cultures as I have made friends all around the world. I have also made friends from around connecticut. One down side to transferring to Cheshire Academy was leaving my friends at my old school just for my senior year and the realization that I wont be graduating and walking the same stage as them. Although that is something hard to comprehend I know I made the right choice on what's going to make me more successful later in life.

This place just hasn't worked for me. I don't feel like I belong, even though I'm a boarding student, and I don't feel that I can tell anyone about it. I don't feel that anyone wants to listen to me about the struggles that I'm facing. I'm doing well in my classes, and I have a lot of friends, which is great, But there's just this undercurrent of disorganization that I feel through most things. Teachers don't get along with each other, it doesn't feel like the administrators leave the teachers alone to teach, and sometimes I just feel that this place is making it up as it goes along. Sports have been good for me, a good outlet, and I've been so happy to be a part of them. But really, overall, in my last year here, I'm so ready to go. I won't be an active alumni, and I wish I hadn't been here, but I'll certainly leave having learned a lot about a lot of stuff, some of which I wish I hadn't.
