Unique extra-curricular opportunities. A comprehensive athletics program. College-prep curriculum. It’s a challenge to experience everything Central High School has to offer in just four years. Dozens of clubs allow students to explore interests and develop skills. Future video board operators, robotics engineers, ice skaters, investors, rock climbers, and ping pong champions can all find groups that fit their interests. School organizations also include honor societies and service and leadership organizations. For business students, The Colt Café offers a unique work experience opportunity. Students can earn extra credit and get hands-on experience by signing up to work a shift at this café. Internships are also available that can lead to college scholarships. Central’s Spark! program offers immersion-based learning experiences through partnerships with local businesses and community service organizations. For the athletes of Central High, the school offers seasonal sports and year-round dance, cheer, and color guard teams. Unique options include water polo, swim & dive, and golf. Central’s academic programs are just as diverse, with advanced placement courses, gifted programs, and special education services. All students participate in Academic Lab, which allows students to make up missed work or meet with teachers for individualized support. These opportunities have earned Central an A+ rating from Niche, and ranking in the top 10 best public high schools in the state. Go Colts!

I did enjoy Parkway. It's not for everyone but it is a good school. Lots of different class options with multiple opportunities.

I think Parkway Central was a great high school and really helped to prepare me for college. One issue was that we had multiple racist scandals that weren't handled very well.
