Westminster Christian Academy offers a dual focus for education: academic preparedness and spiritual growth. Educational programs are designed to honor Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education grounded in biblical truth. Serving grades 7-12, Westminster is accredited by Cognia and the Independent Schools Association of the Central States. Coursework includes a full spectrum of offerings, including college preparatory and advanced placement classes. Westminster also offers a Gifted Program to provide additional enriched course opportunities for gifted learners. And for students diagnosed with significant learning needs, the school provides an Extended Learning Center. Extending opportunities far beyond the classroom, Westminster offers a Faith In Action service program that provides students with opportunities to serve in the community. Each grade level partners with a local agency to allow students to participate in service activities throughout the school year. Westminster seniors participate in Senior Service by serving at agencies in the community for two hours each Thursday. Extra-curricular opportunities at Westminster abound, with academic teams and competitions in robotics, scholar bowl and debate, student leadership organizations, and unique clubs such as archery, cooking, fishing, gaming, and veterans & first responders club. And for students who really want to expand their horizons, Westminster offers off-campus enrichment opportunities. Students can enjoy experiential learning trips to Badlands National Park, cultural immersion and service trips to Greece and South Korea, and language immersion experiences in France and Spain. Whether in the classroom or traveling worldwide, the foundational goal of Westminster’s programs is to encourage students to learn and grow in knowledge, wisdom, and grace.

The best part about my experience is the community here at Westminster. Everyone you talk to is friendly and you feel safe around them. The school does an amazing job of welcoming everyone. The worst part is losing basketball games. It makes me sad. I would like to see students get laptops rather than IPads. I prefer a laptop.

I had a great time at Westminster Christian Academy. I was involved in the performing arts department and received the theatre department scholar's award. The arts were a very strong suit for Westminster, and me being a member of that was amazing.

Not at all an enjoyable high school experience. Very few if any social events sponsored by the school. If there is an event, it is not a WCA event, parents pay for it and sponsor it and supervise it. I felt very unprepared socially for college. WCA is academics only. Very little contact with teachers or staff outside of class. Clubs are very uninteresting. I had great friends and academically prepared but nothing else,

The school provides very few social activities for high school students which would enable social and emotional growth. We did not find out until our children were enrolled that social events are the responsibility of the parents and the school would have no school sponsored dances or activities.

We are so pleased that our two children will go into the world with the benefit of a Westminster education. We have a senior who just completed the 7th-12th grade journey who is headed to a Top 25 public university. He received a rigorous education from well-equipped and caring teachers who prepared...

The teachers are great! A huge push of social justice ideology. Sad to see a once good school going down this path. As a current parent, our family is very disappointed.
