GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

South High School is unique and diverse. The teachers and the students make for a very lively environment. South High School encourages its students to succeed in and out of the classroom. Without South High, I wouldn't of found my passions or has any leadership experiences.

It's an amazing school for those who need it. Unlike the other schools here, they have an extra period called ELO which is basically study hall. It helps me get stuff done.

The elevator often breaks down, leaving students an...

Both of my kids have had a great experience at South. The teachers care and are always willing to communicate. They have gone above and beyond for my kids. The coaches work really hard to teach teamwork and how to help each other. I would say that all the staff at South puts in a lot of effort to ma...

South taught me that diversity isn't a scary thing but is beautiful and beneficial which is definitely different from the other two schools i...

This school is like most of those here in the South triad of Cheyenne with one exception- we are mostly low income, two parent working households. Our school tries to help students but with parents not supporting education like the other areas of town, test scores are very low. Teachers are ok but q...
