The Michele Clark Academic Prep Magnet High School is part of the Chicago Public Schools system, enrolling over 500 students in the sixth through 12th grade. The school serves the city's Austin suburb on Chicago’s West Side. Named after the talented journalist and former Chicago resident, Michele E. Clark, the school flies its black and gold colors proudly as students pursue high academic standards and active involvement in their school community. To promote STEM learning, educators at Michele Clark introduce students to advanced science, technology, engineering and math concepts early on to prepare them for successful college careers. The school also offers Advanced Placement classes in English, psychology and history. The exterior walls of the school's building feature the incredible mural art of Chicago-based artist, Max Sansing. Born on the city's South Side, Sansing brings a photorealistic and technicolor quality to his large paintings of Austin's students. Supporting the scholastic and personal development of every student, the Michele Clark Academic Prep Magnet High School teaches its Eagles to soar, think critically and positively impact the world around them.

I love Michelle Clark High School. That school taught me I can be anything I want to be and I AM!! I walked through those doors a immature 14 year old undecided on what I wanted to be when I grew up. 4 years later I know what I want to be. I want to be a Physical Education Teacher. Watching my teachers work with me and my peers motivated me to choose this career path. I want to make my family proud.

It may be a nice building, but a very dangerous and disgusting school. The students are out of control! No parent involvement and the LSC is a joke. Go somewhere else for an education.
