The imposing brick edifice of the St. Andrew School reflects the spirit, pride and sense of service instilled in St. Andrew pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students. One of the oldest Catholic schools in Chicago and the Lakeview neighborhood, St. Andrew was founded more than a century ago in 1902 and is committed to "developing spiritual awareness, building character and encouraging service for the common good" in its students.
St. Andrew School enrolls 500 students who enjoy an average class size of 22 and a student-to-teacher ratio of 18-to-1. St. Andrew's prioritizes individual instruction in its classrooms and students pursue a rigorous core curriculum of language arts, social studies, religion, math and science.
Fourth through eighth grade students can participate in St. Andrew's flag football, cross country, volleyball and basketball programs. St. Andrew's Bulldogs play with determination and grit both on and off the court while the school is a member of the Chicago Catholic Youth League.
The Saint Andrew Irish Dance Program began in 2010 and partners with the Foy School of Irish Dance to perform in venues all across Chicago. This exciting program currently includes nearly 70 students.
St. Andrew School remains a pillar of Catholic education in the heart of Lakeview.

My kindergartner has been in early childhood programs and now kindergarten. The teachers have been attentive, communicative and experienced. I like being an environment that focuses on the whole child - academics, emotional and spiritual. It's a great and fun community of parents, I can't imagine being anywhere else.
