City and Country is a small school in the middle of the west village. The school philosophy is very progressive and accepting. Some of the classes are pretty amazing, like the studies of the Renaissance in the Middle East in the 6th grade. The school spring fest is a big hit. Students feel welcomed and supported. The only cons are diversity as there is not much of it but that seems standard in the NYC private schools.

Our child has been challenged to develop her skills, encouraged to pursue her inspirations, and engaged by a diverse, lively bunch of classmates. City and Country's teachers are outstanding. Its facilities are a charming catalyst to a young imagination. This school's involvement of students in its daily operations through the jobs program creates a city within the city. We are happy at City and Country.
