The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

The good teachers are great, the bad teachers barely qualify as teachers. Not many chances to advance academically, but that isn't to say there are no good connections that you can make.

What I like about Sequoyah is that they have a great staff. The staff will help you with anything you need. Sequoyah treats every student like we are family They have helped my in so many ways like, by hosting an ACT for free for all the students that signed up, they have help my with my academic. During the pandemic Sequoyah has helped all their student by taking the right precautions and keeping us save. They have gave the student hotspots if they didn't have wifi or access to it. Sequoyah also has a great athletic program. The coaches have taught me so many things. The big thing is that they taught me to be a great leader. This is why I think Sequoyah is a great school.

I like the size of the school. It is a smaller rural school and I like that. I would like to see more genuine care for the students and our mental health, though. If I were to be asked if I felt safe, I wouldn't necessarily say yes, we have had problems before with other students acting in a poor manner.
During my years at Sequoyah, there could not be a finer high school. After i went to university, i was astounded that i already knew what the university wanted me to learn during the first year, from science, to math, to computers, to English.
