The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

Cochranton Jr/Sr High school is a great place to learn. The small amount of students help to create an individuals a better opportunity to learn one on one with teachers. The teachers are extremely interested in your education and will stop at nothing to help you. It is a great learning environment.

Things i personally liked about attending Cochranton high. First the teachers, most of the teachers are really nice and are good at their job. They help you learn everything you need to know. Most of the teachers do at least, there is a few that do not. Things i would change about my high school. The ways the teachers teach. Some do not care that some people learn in a different way or its harder for them to understand. They also dont take the time out of their day to help the students that need it. Lastly all the drama that goes on there and bullying and the faculty does nothing about it.

I was in a lot of music and art activities like marching band and pep band. The band and music program in general is very well tuned and excels at what they do. The teachers that do care are prepared and do well to prepare their students but some teachers I felt didn't do much for the preparation for the rest of life. They were just getting us ready for tests and graduation and not much beyond that. Our robotics team is also very excellent even though I was never a part of it I know that they did very well because I knew several people who were in it.
