The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It is very good for the science classes like physics and computer science but for things in the social studies and language categories it is pretty bad. Luckily those classes do not really matter for most people but it would be nice to see them be better. Also a student's parents can influence their grade and/or sports position by complaining to the administration which makes it unfair for the students that actually work hard.

I loved Cold Spring Harbor. There are very small classes so your teachers get to know everyone and how they learn. Very small district, so you're with the same people from k to 12. A wide array of sports teams and acitvities after school, and an outstanding arts program.

I love CSH. It's my home. It's a wonderful town with wonderful people. Some of my best friends were my teachers. I truly discovered who I was here. They helped shape me into the person I am today.

CSH used to be a classy quiet community of educated families where no one knew who was wealthy and who...
Excellent school with so much to offer! Strong athletics, tons of great clubs, wonderful arts programs with enthusiastic engaging teachers. My kids do sports, robotics, theater, jazz club, chess club, art club and are excelling academically too!!
