One reason I like Coldspring Oakhurst High School is how close the students, teachers, and administration are. One of the main reasons for that is because I live in a small town. I love the one-on-one time and how all of the teachers have made a personal impact on students lives. If I could change something about the school I would change the weekly vocabulary tests. I have had the same sheet of vocabulary for four years. I believe that it has been a waste of time, especially when I could be doing more college readiness.

The C+ rating must be a mercy-giving for CHS. While I was a student, I assumed I was being prepared academically for my establishment upon the world. It was not until I exchanged to a nearby schools that I realized how appalling the education, the organizations, and competitive academics are at CHS. I regret my parent's decision for raising me in the COCISD district for so long, due to the negligent administration on the topic of academic readiness. -A Former Student

This school has a lot of diversity. But the attitude of everyone can get old. The athletic program is good, but if you are not in athletics, cheer, band, or drill team there is not much else.

Like so many of my fellow teachers, I quit rather than endure another year under an administration that doesn't hold students accountable for clear violations of their on written student code of conduct--classroom disruptions, sexual misconduct, boys walking around school with boxers fully exposed a...

The number one problem with this school is: no matter how many times a student demonstrates bad behavior, they are never disciplined according to the very discipline plan this school (district) has written and claims to uphold. In short, the school is not only run by the students, it is run by the s...
