I can't say enough good things about the teachers and administration. The teachers go above and beyond to ensure that students have the tools to succeed. They regularly communicate with parents on student progress. The administration is approachable and committed to equitable learning for all students. They provide weekly communications on school actives and pertinent information. We are grateful our children attend such a wonderful elementary school.

First day of school my 6 year old was slapped by two boys on the bus they also called her fat. When I told assistant principal about this situation nothing was done. She told me she would go to my daughters class and let her know things will be taken care of, which I let my child know, and she waited for her to come, She never did. Word of advise to everyone teach your kids to fight back because the school will not do anything.

My daughter was slapped in the face by two boys on the school bus and when I went up to the school and spoke with assistant principal they did nothing,her exact words to me were "this is not bullying". If that is not bullying I would like to No what is.This happened on her first day of school. This...

We moved into the area last year and our son started 1st grade at Colfax Elem. We were extremely impressed with Principal Thigpen and how dedicated she was to her job.
