Like every school, there's a reason anyone would not want to attend. However, with the school demographics and resource availability, this school can properly prepare any child for post-grad success, both with and without college attendance.

My experience at banneker has been both amazing and horrible at times. Overall i believe that it is a good school, we have access to dual enrollment classes, Advanced Placement classes, as well as many other college readiness opportunities. On the other hand, there are a lot of behavioral and safety issues, such as fighting and bringing weapons to school.

As an Banneker student for 4 years & this being my last .. safety has always been an issue ! As far as stabbing goes , guns being brought in and out . 3DE is an magnet program at Banneker and i recommend it 100% especially for kids that had an plan already or already has an business. Education is VERY helpful .

He enjoys being a student here and he recently won a Science Competition and he loves being a member of the band.Schools are what you make them. I attended banneker high for one year , I was already nervous about going to a new school or what ever but I mean it's not that bad of a school it has wonderful , caring teachers and it's a good learning environment it's just the kids there that really make it a school you wouldn't want your kids to...
