Each time I was in contact with office staff, they were hostile, rude, and never willing to help. If they did look at you, it was up and down first. Downtown Elementary Magnet Academy is a hidden gem. All students are provided with unique engineering experiences starting in kindergarten. The curriculum and the engineering field opportunities are top notch.

This school has a major bullying problem rated the worst in Columbus GA in 2012-2013 school year (article in local newspaper ) Some of the Teaching staff needs major improvement or at east monitoring.
