Overall, I had a good high school experience. The best parts were the football and basketball games. What I would like to see change is for the students to be taught how to prepare for college.

The academics and programs could definitely use some work. The math classes are not challenging enough and the English classes teach next to nothing. This year, about 13 teachers left and the school got rid of accelerated math classes. Also, the mock trial team got shut down when the teacher who was in charge of it left. Despite this, there are many teachers still there that I like, so that is an upside.

There is a great teaching staff at Columbus High. My experience there is making college feel like a cake walk so far. The worst part of the experience is probably the lack of outside influence. Due to Columbus High being application only, it cuts out a lot of the rest of the world which means that you have an unrealistic idea of the world.

I just want to thank this school and athletic director, John Krogstrand, for once again showing our kids that winning is more important than anything. In choosing to insist on a technical foul for his opponents wearing pink to RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY he gave all of the kids a great example of what p...
