Hightower Trail Elementary School is a public elementary school in Conyers, Georgia, serving nearly 700 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade school. The school opened in 1988 and was named after the Hightower Trail in North Rockdale County.
The school provides a curriculum rich in English, math, social studies and science, as well as career, technical and agricultural education. Students also learn to type — a valuable skill in the digital world.
The emotional health and well-being of students is a priority at Hightower. A school counselor provides classroom, small group and individual counseling on an as-needed basis. For individual students, the counselor addresses behavioral, academic, social and emotional needs. Topics for group or individual counseling may involve grief, family transitions and conflict resolution. Crisis intervention is also available. The counselor is charged with helping students develop respect for one another, communicate more effectively and improve their problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Hightower offers an array of extracurricular and enrichment activities that encourage students to diversify their learning and become more well-rounded. Clubs include First in Math Club, Reading Bowl Club, the Junior Beta Club and the Robotics/LEGO Club. Students with vocal talent may choose to participate in chorus and the annual spring musical. An after-school program is also available.

Great school!! Staff and teachers are very friendly and helpful. My sons are learning so much. They come home knowing their homework already which is a good sign of great teachers. Shout out to Ms Gallien and Mr Roach!!

This is by far the best school in Rockdale county. My family has been apart of this school since the day it opened. We have put 5 kids thru this school and very happy. Wish all schools were like this. The bone family.

Whenever my 3 grader grandsons teacher is there, it's and ok school could use some updated learning tools, and equipment, and some enthusiastic teachers that loves to teach, more creative thinking teachers. But I will say the curriculum has gotten a little better, because of government funding.
